For the last 8 years, Ashley Christudason has been refining various layering techniques associated with digital collage art – turning existing art and photography into reconfigured conceptualizations that he sees both in dreams and visions.

Ashley’s mediums for creation include Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, his Canon 600D Camera and a host of art-related apps. He begins with collating images from various sources on the web, which are then kept in folders to be picked and selected during the digital collage process. These images can range from 18th century formalist paintings to abstract digital designs shared on the public domain. An image is then chosen as the ‘foundation’ or base-layer of the collage, ready to begin the unification of collated imagery. By combining his own photography in the collage, he wishes to challenge visual perceptions about the ‘realness’ of the image after aggressive digital manipulation. Each finished piece (often containing 50 or more layers) then becomes a potential layer for newer works, thus allowing for a recycling or re-incarnation of the old with the new. Since this process has been going on for 6 years, his most recent pieces contain reconfigurations & transmutations of more than 900 layers of imagery, interwoven & remixed into a single image, which then becomes a new layer altogether, et al. Because of the integration of so many layers, visual data used lose their original form/code and gain new forms/become recoded during the process of creation.

When trying to come up with a title for the very first collage, the name ‘Jungle Eye’ instantly came to mind. He later concluded that this title was a synonym for one’s 3rd eye. The 3rd eye (according to him) is the viewer & key to inter-dimensional vision, the light penetrator of the richest darkness & the knower of oneness in all things.

A never-ending fascination with the meaning of our existence & everything our eyes cannot see although open, are two of the many building blocks that make up his being. He seeks to convey the necessity of keeping a free-imagination for the ultimate experience of self-infinity. This is the process of knowing that you are a part of everything – the ability to see yourself in ALL things. This is the principle-philosophy that guides him through his work – that ALL things are connected, that we are all indeed ONE.

Musk accidentally tweets his phone number to 16.7m folllowers

Elon Musk gave his 16.7 million Twitter followers what he meant to send to the chief technology officer of virtual-reality company Oculus: his phone number.

“Do you have a sec to talk? My cell is …” Musk wrote from his account to John Carmack, the CTO of Facebook-owned Oculus. The Tesla chief executive officer quickly deleted the post.

A call placed to the number that Musk tweeted went to voicemail and played a message from the video game God of War.

“By the Gods you’ve done it,” the message intones. “Somehow you’ve found your way here to me. I offer you my congratulations and my respect.”

The tweet invited speculation that Musk, 46, may have been trying to recruit Carmack or was seeking ways for Oculus to cooperate with any of the many businesses he runs.

Those include the electric-car maker Tesla, rocket company SpaceX, artificial intelligence researcher OpenAI, brain-computer interface developer Neuralink and tunnel digger The Boring Company.

Elon Musk quickly deleted the post which included his phone number.

A Facebook spokeswoman said Carmack doesn’t plan to leave the company. Representatives for Tesla and Space Exploration Technologies didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.

Virtual and augmented reality are playing significant roles in the development of autonomous cars. Engineers for companies including Alphabet’s Waymo are turning to simulation platforms to test and train their self-driving systems that are being primed to navigate vehicles as well as – or ideally better than – human drivers.

Before diving into virtual reality, Carmack built a company that attempted to make a craft for suborbital space tourism.

After spending millions, he shuttered it in 2013. Still, he’s maintained an interest in the sector and has interacted with Musk over Twitter before.

The path to happiness does not exist at all. There is no exact “way” or method to be happy.
If one has read the book – ‘The Art Of Happiness’ written by the Dalai Lama himself, one should be able to understand the fundamental concept of this mindset. Being happy is simply just that, being happy. When you feel your emotions surging through your body you understand that those are your feelings speaking to you. The easiest way to react to a situation or an experience is to feel angry. This is why people sometimes get mad easily all the time. They seek an alternative to finding the concentration to be balanced in terms of mind, body and soul.
For example, when you are bursting with anger, all you feel like doing is to shout or hit something. And when you are feeling sad, you have no other ways to express your feelings but to cry. Now, don’t forget about laughter – the ability to laugh is the only true way to express your happiness in a realistic manner. These are just methods and ways of how people naturally react to their own emotions and feelings. This is what truly makes us humans. Animals too, in their own right and ways have the ability to feel. We are empathetic creatures by nature. Mirror neurons exists in all of us and that is what makes us able to understand and relate with one another in terms of emotions and what we feel.

All living things on Earth share this deep bond and connection. The sacred moment when you feel and touch the leaf of a plant, when you sit under the shade of a tree, when you stroke your pet dog’s fur, when you look into eyes of a dolphin. Earth is unique because it is teeming with lifeforms, as compared to the other planets in our own Solar System.

In short, the way to feel happy is to, “Live the life you love, love the life you love.” – Bob Marley

Travel With Heart

3 Spiritual Benefits of Traveling Alone

3 spiritual benefits

As a child of Mother Earth, in each and every one of us lies a natural instinct to explore, travel, seek new adventures, find endless possibilities to the wonders of the universe. We strongly desire to delve into the unknown..mysteries await us at every minute, hour, day. Traveling lets you get in touch with your inner self and get to know how the puzzling mind, beautiful heart and soaring soul works. Be encouraged to travel while you are young and can afford the time and space to do whatever you please whenever you see fit. The world could be your oyster if you wanted it to be.

1) “Me” Time

When you travel on your own, you get to know yourself at your own pace and do whatever you feel is best for you at your preferred time. There is no rush when you only have yourself to worry about.  You take time out from being socially involved in other people’s emotions and the situations of your comfort zone (home umbrella) and invest more time into treating yourself well. You find new ways to make yourself happy and realize the true meaning of self-fulfillment and self-love! After all as Buddha teaches us, one must be able to love the self before being able to love another. Traveling alone inspires you more than anything else and when you decide to, decide to do it for You!

“Your task is not to seek for Love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.” – Rumi

2) Accepting the New

We are all bound to meet new people along the way, but when you travel on your own the people that you meet suddenly appear either more genuine or more doubtable this is because they realize you are without barriers and come as you are, all on your own and you are now someone to be acquainted with personally as an individual rather than in a group where there is shared perceptions of whoever may come along to try and get to know you or the whole group of friends. As a lone wolf stray from the pack, it becomes more obvious who are in acceptance of you and who are not. This is not to say that everyone is to accept who you are simply because you are brave and alone, some people may disagree with you and you must move on and accept that not everyone can be for you. When you are alone you are vulnerable and people see that and tread with more consideration in getting to know you as well as form a decision to either respect or reject who you are, this is more so with ladies (so remember to behave).

“Because one believes in oneself, one doesn’t try to convince others. Because one is content with oneself, one doesn’t need others’ approval. Because one accepts oneself, the whole world accepts him or her.”
 Lao Tzu

              3) Finding Yourself

Now that you are in a position where you have all this time to yourself, you begin to start reflecting on the person you once were, the person you are now and the person you are to become. Awareness starts to build up within you of here and now – what is present, past and future. Some may start to meditate to help ease themselves into the state of awakening, by practicing daily deep breathing meditation you learn to positively take in the good and release the unwanted negativity from your entire being. You learn things about yourself you may not have recognized before from being constantly surrounded by people. Taking time to understand yourself becomes something so valuable to you and realizing how innate this desire is to truly know thyself you wish you had taken off more time to be with yourself. Creating the time and space to get to know yourself becomes one of the most significant aspects of traveling alone, although you may not have found it so at the initial start!
