For the last 8 years, Ashley Christudason has been refining various layering techniques associated with digital collage art – turning existing art and photography into reconfigured conceptualizations that he sees both in dreams and visions.

Ashley’s mediums for creation include Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, his Canon 600D Camera and a host of art-related apps. He begins with collating images from various sources on the web, which are then kept in folders to be picked and selected during the digital collage process. These images can range from 18th century formalist paintings to abstract digital designs shared on the public domain. An image is then chosen as the ‘foundation’ or base-layer of the collage, ready to begin the unification of collated imagery. By combining his own photography in the collage, he wishes to challenge visual perceptions about the ‘realness’ of the image after aggressive digital manipulation. Each finished piece (often containing 50 or more layers) then becomes a potential layer for newer works, thus allowing for a recycling or re-incarnation of the old with the new. Since this process has been going on for 6 years, his most recent pieces contain reconfigurations & transmutations of more than 900 layers of imagery, interwoven & remixed into a single image, which then becomes a new layer altogether, et al. Because of the integration of so many layers, visual data used lose their original form/code and gain new forms/become recoded during the process of creation.

When trying to come up with a title for the very first collage, the name ‘Jungle Eye’ instantly came to mind. He later concluded that this title was a synonym for one’s 3rd eye. The 3rd eye (according to him) is the viewer & key to inter-dimensional vision, the light penetrator of the richest darkness & the knower of oneness in all things.

A never-ending fascination with the meaning of our existence & everything our eyes cannot see although open, are two of the many building blocks that make up his being. He seeks to convey the necessity of keeping a free-imagination for the ultimate experience of self-infinity. This is the process of knowing that you are a part of everything – the ability to see yourself in ALL things. This is the principle-philosophy that guides him through his work – that ALL things are connected, that we are all indeed ONE.

Terrible mistakes in Human History

From the dark secrets of Dupont & Coca Cola…finally revealed! Is it true or are they just speculations & pointless allegations? Or possibly could it be a trade myth?
Let’s find out more by watching this video and discussing about it afterwards.

“It’s a brand’s business making sure you get a warm, fuzzy feeling like when you crack open an ice cold Coke. So it should come as no surprise the lengths they go to protect their image. From computer giants IBM to the cuddly charity Kids Wish Network, there is a lot that brands are trying to keep from you.” – Youtube Video Channel Alltime10s

Are these corporations posing a major threat to the environment? But how do we tell the good guys from the bad, evil daddy corps?

Musk accidentally tweets his phone number to 16.7m folllowers

Recommended by https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/ATSF9uvMfqM

Elon Musk gave his 16.7 million Twitter followers what he meant to send to the chief technology officer of virtual-reality company Oculus: his phone number.

“Do you have a sec to talk? My cell is …” Musk wrote from his account to John Carmack, the CTO of Facebook-owned Oculus. The Tesla chief executive officer quickly deleted the post.

A call placed to the number that Musk tweeted went to voicemail and played a message from the video game God of War.

“By the Gods you’ve done it,” the message intones. “Somehow you’ve found your way here to me. I offer you my congratulations and my respect.”

The tweet invited speculation that Musk, 46, may have been trying to recruit Carmack or was seeking ways for Oculus to cooperate with any of the many businesses he runs.

Those include the electric-car maker Tesla, rocket company SpaceX, artificial intelligence researcher OpenAI, brain-computer interface developer Neuralink and tunnel digger The Boring Company.

Elon Musk quickly deleted the post which included his phone number.

Elon Musk quickly deleted the post which included his phone number.

A Facebook spokeswoman said Carmack doesn’t plan to leave the company. Representatives for Tesla and Space Exploration Technologies didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.

Virtual and augmented reality are playing significant roles in the development of autonomous cars. Engineers for companies including Alphabet’s Waymo are turning to simulation platforms to test and train their self-driving systems that are being primed to navigate vehicles as well as – or ideally better than – human drivers.

Before diving into virtual reality, Carmack built a company that attempted to make a craft for suborbital space tourism.

After spending millions, he shuttered it in 2013. Still, he’s maintained an interest in the sector and has interacted with Musk over Twitter before.

The path to happiness does not exist at all. There is no exact “way” or method to be happy.
If one has read the book – ‘The Art Of Happiness’ written by the Dalai Lama himself, one should be able to understand the fundamental concept of this mindset. Being happy is simply just that, being happy. When you feel your emotions surging through your body you understand that those are your feelings speaking to you. The easiest way to react to a situation or an experience is to feel angry. This is why people sometimes get mad easily all the time. They seek an alternative to finding the concentration to be balanced in terms of mind, body and soul.
For example, when you are bursting with anger, all you feel like doing is to shout or hit something. And when you are feeling sad, you have no other ways to express your feelings but to cry. Now, don’t forget about laughter – the ability to laugh is the only true way to express your happiness in a realistic manner. These are just methods and ways of how people naturally react to their own emotions and feelings. This is what truly makes us humans. Animals too, in their own right and ways have the ability to feel. We are empathetic creatures by nature. Mirror neurons exists in all of us and that is what makes us able to understand and relate with one another in terms of emotions and what we feel.

All living things on Earth share this deep bond and connection. The sacred moment when you feel and touch the leaf of a plant, when you sit under the shade of a tree, when you stroke your pet dog’s fur, when you look into eyes of a dolphin. Earth is unique because it is teeming with lifeforms, as compared to the other planets in our own Solar System.

In short, the way to feel happy is to, “Live the life you love, love the life you love.” – Bob Marley

The Reflection

This is an excerpt by one of our talented writers, Fariq Yusoff, 30, who works at an advertising firm and loves to dabble in the arts of music! Super talented and possesses a philosophical mind, please enjoy!

The Reflection

Nothing too far beyond the boundaries of existence,

A story lies in the depths of its magnificence,

Through the phantom, time and coincidences,

A tale of realities, colliding in an infinite precedence.

The Actor; Adaptable, dramatic & inventive.

The Rebel; Stubborn, dominant & selective.

The Child; Joyous, carefree & attentive.

The One; Subdued, aware & receptive.

On a warm blinding morning…

Beaming rays with a distinct cyan calm yet uncomfortable,

Baking necks while fresh warm winds danced around his stroll,

Blanketed by invisible steam that pressured his every step, palpable,

As secretion of sweat etched his limbs, straying his thoughts and control.

“Why such luck?” He uttered under his heaving heavy breath,

Down and battered he contemplated his untimely demise,

Then, a familiar figure, the Rebel, slowed his path stealing his penance of death,

A mask donned concealing his aches and freeing his lies.

The sun stood high and blazing rays of light pinching my skin….

He halted with a sharp piercing stare and muttered reasons.

“I beg your pardon?” The Rebel forcefully request.

As the heat altered the Actor, the Rebel faltered, to interrogate his own.

A solution unacceptable, perverse in the perseverance for an answer,

A potent conquest!

“Intolerable!” Answered the Rebel as the Actor cringed in his bones.

This congregation continued for hours and days,

Through sunlight and sunbeams in haze,

In darkened skies and stars ablaze,

Finding an old friend in each deep, haunting gaze.

Heated my mind, losing my sight, wearing me thin…

The Spirit of past and future reveals as the Phantom passes,

Speeding through their doubts, beliefs and emotions,

Slowly, surely, the Actor dissipates and anguish envelope the Rebel in Darkness,

He involuntarily slips into an abyss of confusion and frustration.

“Do not abscond from my heart!” Shrieks the Rebel as the latter left in moments,

Helplessly swimming in pounds of water dripping. Endless.

As the Actor blurred through the nebulous, crimson Sun. “Entombment!”

He sank to his knees, the Rebel scorned. Alone and powerless.

Scorched the surface and my lustrous landscape turns grim…

Egos in this Ethos of the present life’s rich tapestry,

The wisest lucubrate its history with an orison.

As the Rebel stand upright from the grounds of fallacy,

The Child appeared like first light from the horizon.

Playful gestures and wild imagination brings hope to the Rebel,

Bridging decades of despair and blissful blithe of his soul, insouciant.

All shall pass, as the past shall fall into place, compelling but subtle.

The Child shows the Rebel elation and exuberance.

The darkness and death, breathes life and hope in…

From ruination to patching it whole,

The Child plays, learning and collecting snippets of life’s quiddity,

Unknowingly, the Child seeks while the Rebel hides in a hole,

In true fact of the play, the Rebel, lost and disappeared in humility,

The Child, alone, frames from moment to moment.

Living in a picture book full of colours and blush,

Puerile in its nature and no fear yet to be spoken,

No future. No Past. Never too slow, never a rush.

The Phantom, a magician of sorts, in Life or Death it sings….

Suddenly, a candle was lit deep within, sparking mystery.

A lost connection, that transcends through Phantom and Space.

It grew with every gesture and play, like a seed in a nursery.

From questions, comes understanding, though frozen by fear in place.

The child confounded and cried in doubts and trepidation.

Piecing the puzzle of this mystery while taxing his juvenile thoughts.

Complexity in its essence, the Child faltered in a last shriek of condemnation,

Shrouded in confusion, he felt elevated in comfortable hands, he thought, was God.

Fuzzy vision while light unveils the dawn of morning…

“Awaken”, a gentle whisper, warm in both his ears.

As the blindfold comes off the light pierced his sight.

Soft supple hands gently caress his rosy cheeks damped with tears.

“Do not despair. Do not fight the light!”

A figure appear, calm and safe, as the Child stood free.

Looking up with absolution that his saviour has arrived.

Nothing else was said. They understand what needs to be.

Sliding his hand, the child grasps his, in a hopeful and blissful vibe.

Clear presence, back and forth so effortlessly, in a summer’s dream…

I awoke with a sudden breath of life, emerging from the depths of sleep,

Halt my thought from straying yet free to roam in its vastness of possibility,

Holding on to the wisdom of past, and the knowledge of the future I will keep.

Forever awaken in oneness from the Heart through Yesterday till Eternity.

My sight has set to the stars while the mind listens to my beating Heart.

It paves the road for my Soul. My eyes opened wide against the Sun.

Smiling in bliss without doubt and regret no matter how hard. Or when my Soul departs.

I am every moment. I am the Actor, the Rebel, the Child and the One.

Free Your Mind

5 Tips to Achieving A Clear & Calm Mind

image

It is said that when a person is not being rational, their mind is full of unfinished thoughts and meaningless ideas. Here’s 5 tips I learned from people around the world to practice in my daily life to achieve a healthy balance of body, mind and soul.

1) Exercise – Whether it’s an everyday morning run, a few laps in the pool, weekly yoga class or even hitting the gym, exercise is a great tool to cleanse your mind of ill thoughts. Even if you barely have enough time to sip on some coffee before your commute to work, make it a point to walk to your destinations more often.

2) Eat healthy – Be sure to provide enough vegetables and fruits into your diet whilst maintaining your standard protein and carb intake. Fibre and vitamins are essential to your immune system and your body and brain too! The more clean, the better. Remember, don’t panic, especially if it’s organic!

3) Meditation – I hope you don’t get the wrong idea here, now, meditation is not necessarily sitting or lying down in an attempt to “empty your mind of all thoughts”. It is known as focusing the self in the actions of what you perceive so as to achieve complete attentiveness. For example, I am preparing dinner..I put all my heart into it knowing that it will be delicious. All the energy being conducted is being channeled into preparing that dinner. Boom. You get delicious food prepared with love. It may also be applied with any other activities you absolutely love partaking in! This could also be recognized as mindfulness. If you are highly intrigued, there are tons of books showcasing the topic of mindfulness. Either that..or just go Google it!

4) Appreciating Art – Some people may have the uncanny ability to paint masterpieces with the standards of Van Gogh in no time, some may experience difficulties drawing a simple house and trees. Regardless, one must be able to recognize the efforts that was put into creating that piece of art, as it’s only polite. Art comes in many different forms; Music, Paintings, Dancing, Writing and many more. Now imagine yourself, as you sit in front of a piece of artistic work that has been created by somebody else..you visualize the I that has manifested your own creativity into forming that work of art. Simply said, put yourself in his or her shoes and pretend that you were the one who worked on that fine piece of art. Happy aren’t you? It’s the act of appreciation that is a form of a healthy mind.

5) Crystals & Semi Precious Stones – Okay, I admit this is a pretty controversial one. Whether you are a believer or not, crystals and semi precious stones are widely used around the world, possibly even in this Solar System as precious materials. From computers to watches to jewellery and much more. Don’t believe me?Ask almost every other woman out there why diamonds are so sought after. (Yes a diamond is a crystal) The most simplest approach to this is the information behind these crystals. What power do they hold? What is it these crystals seek? If you have heard or read about the crystals skulls, you should already know this. But otherwise, please do check it out!

Crystals have been used all across the centuries as a piece of Earth that is known to have healing powers. From illness to ailments and useful tools for the mind, these precious minerals are possible to be found almost everywhere and anywhere in the world. Honestly speaking, I myself never used to be a believer of such magical stones. I’m not sure if I still am but I can assure you that these stones are of great help in your daily ongoing life. Ancient cultures and modern traditions still hold on to their roots regarding these powerful ornaments, it is advisable to keep them in your pocket, wear them as jewellery, to use them as house decoration and more.

The purpose of seeking balance between mind, body & soul is to be content with the self and to seek awareness. If you have any other brilliant ideas to contribute please feel free to share them with us!

Travel With Heart

3 Spiritual Benefits of Traveling Alone

3 spiritual benefits

As a child of Mother Earth, in each and every one of us lies a natural instinct to explore, travel, seek new adventures, find endless possibilities to the wonders of the universe. We strongly desire to delve into the unknown..mysteries await us at every minute, hour, day. Traveling lets you get in touch with your inner self and get to know how the puzzling mind, beautiful heart and soaring soul works. Be encouraged to travel while you are young and can afford the time and space to do whatever you please whenever you see fit. The world could be your oyster if you wanted it to be.

1) “Me” Time

When you travel on your own, you get to know yourself at your own pace and do whatever you feel is best for you at your preferred time. There is no rush when you only have yourself to worry about.  You take time out from being socially involved in other people’s emotions and the situations of your comfort zone (home umbrella) and invest more time into treating yourself well. You find new ways to make yourself happy and realize the true meaning of self-fulfillment and self-love! After all as Buddha teaches us, one must be able to love the self before being able to love another. Traveling alone inspires you more than anything else and when you decide to, decide to do it for You!

“Your task is not to seek for Love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.” – Rumi

2) Accepting the New

We are all bound to meet new people along the way, but when you travel on your own the people that you meet suddenly appear either more genuine or more doubtable this is because they realize you are without barriers and come as you are, all on your own and you are now someone to be acquainted with personally as an individual rather than in a group where there is shared perceptions of whoever may come along to try and get to know you or the whole group of friends. As a lone wolf stray from the pack, it becomes more obvious who are in acceptance of you and who are not. This is not to say that everyone is to accept who you are simply because you are brave and alone, some people may disagree with you and you must move on and accept that not everyone can be for you. When you are alone you are vulnerable and people see that and tread with more consideration in getting to know you as well as form a decision to either respect or reject who you are, this is more so with ladies (so remember to behave).

“Because one believes in oneself, one doesn’t try to convince others. Because one is content with oneself, one doesn’t need others’ approval. Because one accepts oneself, the whole world accepts him or her.”
 Lao Tzu

              3) Finding Yourself

Now that you are in a position where you have all this time to yourself, you begin to start reflecting on the person you once were, the person you are now and the person you are to become. Awareness starts to build up within you of here and now – what is present, past and future. Some may start to meditate to help ease themselves into the state of awakening, by practicing daily deep breathing meditation you learn to positively take in the good and release the unwanted negativity from your entire being. You learn things about yourself you may not have recognized before from being constantly surrounded by people. Taking time to understand yourself becomes something so valuable to you and realizing how innate this desire is to truly know thyself you wish you had taken off more time to be with yourself. Creating the time and space to get to know yourself becomes one of the most significant aspects of traveling alone, although you may not have found it so at the initial start!
