Musk accidentally tweets his phone number to 16.7m folllowers

Elon Musk gave his 16.7 million Twitter followers what he meant to send to the chief technology officer of virtual-reality company Oculus: his phone number.

“Do you have a sec to talk? My cell is …” Musk wrote from his account to John Carmack, the CTO of Facebook-owned Oculus. The Tesla chief executive officer quickly deleted the post.

A call placed to the number that Musk tweeted went to voicemail and played a message from the video game God of War.

“By the Gods you’ve done it,” the message intones. “Somehow you’ve found your way here to me. I offer you my congratulations and my respect.”

The tweet invited speculation that Musk, 46, may have been trying to recruit Carmack or was seeking ways for Oculus to cooperate with any of the many businesses he runs.

Those include the electric-car maker Tesla, rocket company SpaceX, artificial intelligence researcher OpenAI, brain-computer interface developer Neuralink and tunnel digger The Boring Company.

Elon Musk quickly deleted the post which included his phone number.

Elon Musk quickly deleted the post which included his phone number.

A Facebook spokeswoman said Carmack doesn’t plan to leave the company. Representatives for Tesla and Space Exploration Technologies didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.

Virtual and augmented reality are playing significant roles in the development of autonomous cars. Engineers for companies including Alphabet’s Waymo are turning to simulation platforms to test and train their self-driving systems that are being primed to navigate vehicles as well as – or ideally better than – human drivers.

Before diving into virtual reality, Carmack built a company that attempted to make a craft for suborbital space tourism.

After spending millions, he shuttered it in 2013. Still, he’s maintained an interest in the sector and has interacted with Musk over Twitter before.

How to become a Peaceful Warrior

4268569D-EEEE-466C-9D6D-326E10D0FE2CThere are a variety of different movies that teach us about awareness, consciousness, life and truth. These movies are found to have the power to change perception, beliefs and the level of awareness towards seeking truth.  I recently finished a movie titled “Peaceful Warrior” starring Scott Mechlowiscz and Nick Nolte. One of the movies from that list. This movie was based on a book by Dan Millman, Way of the Peaceful Warrior, which was based on true events. It is an enlightening movie about a college gymnast whose meeting with a stranger changed his life. As I listened vicariously to the teachings and quotes by the characters in the movie, I felt a sense of understanding which has awakened a part of me inside. These words suddenly gave me a new perception of understanding of myself and Life.

There is a peaceful warrior inside each and every one of us. As explained by Dam Millman, all of us living on Planet earth are in training to be a peaceful warrior. We all strive to have peace and happiness for ourselves. However, life just seems to have the upper hand on affecting us to a point of confusion and hopelessness. There are times when all you wish you had was a warrior inside you to do what you think you cannot. I have been there. I have felt lost and overwhelmed by the happenings around me that have left me depressed. It felt that I was not heading anywhere in my life and how my life just cannot kick-off to what I perceive it should be like. Have you ever felt this way? To feel that you are lost in place, and everything just seems to not make any sense at all. A feeling that you were meant to do something with purpose but yet, it is still not happening as what you intended.

“If you don’t get what you want, you suffer; if you get what you don’t want, you suffer; even when you get exactly what you want, you still suffer because you can’t hold on to it forever.”

“The birth of the mind is the death of the senses”

“everyone tells you what’s good for you. they don’t want you to find your own answers. they want you to believe theirs.”

“The secret of happiness, you see, is not found in seeking more, but in developing the capacity to enjoy less.”

“I had lost my mind and fallen into my heart.”

Do not despair. The harder it gets, the wiser you will be. It all comes down to perception and awareness of your life. It took me years to understand this concept but I managed to be, as I am now.
Initially, my perception was changed in a very pivotal moment of my life, of what I see and how I felt about my past, through a kind of workshop called Asiaworks Basic and Advance Training. Asiaworks Training is an organisation that addresses the personal growth and self-awareness, organisational commitment, leadership, teamwork and effectiveness of the attendees. Read more about them here. This is where I came to make peace with my past and understanding the beliefs that I have attained on certain things like my parents, family and fate. “I, like god do not play with dice” – V from vendetta. It was an eye-opening moment that suddenly had me seeing my life’s journey to be of purpose. I stood there in that room filled with emotions that I have never felt before, and that made me feel more human than I have ever been for the past 18 years. It made me feel that I was in the right place, at the right time. That my life’s road was and is on course no matter the difficulty and obstacles I had faced. I came out with an affirmation that I am an honest, kind and loving person. Somehow, it created a higher level of awareness towards myself and my surroundings. It opened up many opportunities that had me feeling that life will never be the same.

“It is better for you to take responsibility for your life as it is, instead of blaming others, or circumstances, for your predicament. As your eyes open, you’ll see that your state of health, happiness, and every circumstance of your life has been, in large part, arranged by you – consciously or unconsciously.”

“. . . Action always happens in the present, because it is an expression of the body, which can only exist in the here and now. But the mind is like a phantom that lives only in the past or future. Its only power over you is to draw your attention out of the present.”

“Enlightenment is not an attainment, it is a realization. And when you wake up, everything changes and nothing changes.”

“A warrior doesn’t seek pain, but if pain comes, he uses it.”

“The earth isn’t solid. It is made of molecules and atoms, tiny universes filled with space. It is a place of mystery, light, and magic if you only open your eyes.”

Years have passed from that moment but memories tend to fade and practice, forgotten. This harsh reality had made me trapped within the cages of my mind. Fear and uncertainty envelop me with the ever-changing cycles of forced responsibilities and greed. Insecurity has made me doubt and question my every action to the preference of others. It made me sway off course a few times but it was never difficult to reflect and understand. It just took time. It was difficult to be aware of yourself when this reality has put forth a yearning for more. Yearning to earn and seek more. When circumstances changed, we tend to change as well. It only depends on the actions you put forth with or for that change. Fast forward to the second pivotal change of my life, it was of deciding to my wife. We had been in a relationship for almost 10 years but it seems that it was not working out for both of us then. No matter, I felt a deep sense of loss when we decided to walk away from each other. I could not find the words for it but I knew deep within that my life could never be, without her in it. This is the moment I realised that there is no past that has the power to keep me and there is no future that can be depended on to be exactly what I wish it would be. There is only now. And now means doing.

“There are no ordinary moments.”

“The journey is what brings us happiness not the destination.”

“A warrior does not give up what he loves, he finds the love in what he does”

“The warrior is Here, Now.”

“Everything you’ll ever need to know is within you; the secrets of the universe are imprinted on the cells of your body.”

I found that to be a peaceful warrior, it takes hardship and grief. It takes difficulty and sometimes impossibility, as these moments will only define who we are as a person. Look at the choices that you have made before and reflect if that was out of fear or living. Now is the only important moment in Life. It will take time for you to have the highest level of awareness in your life to the point you understand that every circumstance does not define you. The choice does. The only way to ascend towards being a peaceful warrior is to practice it frequently. Practice humiliation, reflection and kindness. Start by letting go and cleaning the mess that is hindering you to live. Clear the doubt, insecurity and uncertainty. Love! Life is full of circumstances and it is you who will need to decide who and what will be your teachers. Do it monthly, daily, in moments and soon enough you will realise that a peaceful warrior is never the destination, but the journey of which you have taken part in.

“A fool is ‘happy’ when his cravings are satisfied. A warrior is happy without reason. That’s what makes happiness the ultimate discipline”

Smoking Vs Vaping

The world of vape has a subliminal message to convey.

Have you heard the word?

Vaping is healthier than smoking cigarettes! Despite numerous claims by scientists and semitic religious sects, Vaping is indeed technically healthier than tobacco. This happens because we cut away the tons of unnecessary chemicals that we inhale into our mouth, throat and lungs.

Vaporizer, or electronic cigarette(e-cig) juice is made out of vegetable glycerin and propylene glycerol, combined with a specific optional percentage of nicotine, and natural & or artificial flavoring. It results in a usually clear or colored translucent kind of liquid that exudes a mostly pleasant smell. Compared to e-juice, the acrid Stink of tobacco is just nasty. Despite the claim that the tobacco industry is dying and having been around for a long time, they are still prominently the major players in the world of legal highs.

You remember how us some of us aren’t too susceptible to change? It is how the majority of smokers and non-smokers actually view the world of vaping. They may feel that e-cigarettes are generally unsafe and that it is just a trend that the new cool  kids on the block are advocating. As a result, I’d say 80% of vapers are still smoking cigarettes. DISCLAIMER: (This estimation has not been thoroughly researched on due to lack of funds.)

Besides the unruly fact that any form of smoke that enters your lung is irrevocably not good for you, we best enjoy it now before some of the human population end up flying into outer space and forever hold your peace. Just kidding, it’s a personal health choice. Death comes to all who believes in fate. To the non-believers, we all hope and pray that science rules the universe. The zenith technology that premeditated today’s standards of life only contributes to its quality.

Is it clear that smokeless air might just be the key to our survival?

To be continued..

Blissfully Aware

The path to happiness does not exist at all. There is no exact “way” or method to be happy.
If one has read the book – ‘The Art Of Happiness’ written by the Dalai Lama himself, one should be able to understand the fundamental concept of this mindset. Being happy is simply just that, being happy. When you feel your emotions surging through your body you understand that those are your feelings speaking to you. The easiest way to react to a situation or an experience is to feel angry. This is why people sometimes get mad easily all the time. They seek an alternative to finding the concentration to be balanced in terms of mind, body and soul.
For example, when you are bursting with anger, all you feel like doing is to shout or hit something. And when you are feeling sad, you have no other ways to express your feelings but to cry. Now, don’t forget about laughter – the ability to laugh is the only true way to express your happiness in a realistic manner. These are just methods and ways of how people naturally react to their own emotions and feelings. This is what truly makes us humans. Animals too, in their own right and ways have the ability to feel. We are empathetic creatures by nature. Mirror neurons exists in all of us and that is what makes us able to understand and relate with one another in terms of emotions and what we feel.

All living things on Earth share this deep bond and connection. The sacred moment when you feel and touch the leaf of a plant, when you sit under the shade of a tree, when you stroke your pet dog’s fur, when you look into eyes of a dolphin. Earth is unique because it is teeming with lifeforms, as compared to the other planets in our own Solar System.

In short, the way to feel happy is to, “Live the life you love, love the life you love.” – Bob Marley

Free Your Mind

5 Tips to Achieving A Clear & Calm Mind

image

It is said that when a person is not being rational, their mind is full of unfinished thoughts and meaningless ideas. Here’s 5 tips I learned from people around the world to practice in my daily life to achieve a healthy balance of body, mind and soul.

1) Exercise – Whether it’s an everyday morning run, a few laps in the pool, weekly yoga class or even hitting the gym, exercise is a great tool to cleanse your mind of ill thoughts. Even if you barely have enough time to sip on some coffee before your commute to work, make it a point to walk to your destinations more often.

2) Eat healthy – Be sure to provide enough vegetables and fruits into your diet whilst maintaining your standard protein and carb intake. Fibre and vitamins are essential to your immune system and your body and brain too! The more clean, the better. Remember, don’t panic, especially if it’s organic!

3) Meditation – I hope you don’t get the wrong idea here, now, meditation is not necessarily sitting or lying down in an attempt to “empty your mind of all thoughts”. It is known as focusing the self in the actions of what you perceive so as to achieve complete attentiveness. For example, I am preparing dinner..I put all my heart into it knowing that it will be delicious. All the energy being conducted is being channeled into preparing that dinner. Boom. You get delicious food prepared with love. It may also be applied with any other activities you absolutely love partaking in! This could also be recognized as mindfulness. If you are highly intrigued, there are tons of books showcasing the topic of mindfulness. Either that..or just go Google it!

4) Appreciating Art – Some people may have the uncanny ability to paint masterpieces with the standards of Van Gogh in no time, some may experience difficulties drawing a simple house and trees. Regardless, one must be able to recognize the efforts that was put into creating that piece of art, as it’s only polite. Art comes in many different forms; Music, Paintings, Dancing, Writing and many more. Now imagine yourself, as you sit in front of a piece of artistic work that has been created by somebody else..you visualize the I that has manifested your own creativity into forming that work of art. Simply said, put yourself in his or her shoes and pretend that you were the one who worked on that fine piece of art. Happy aren’t you? It’s the act of appreciation that is a form of a healthy mind.

5) Crystals & Semi Precious Stones – Okay, I admit this is a pretty controversial one. Whether you are a believer or not, crystals and semi precious stones are widely used around the world, possibly even in this Solar System as precious materials. From computers to watches to jewellery and much more. Don’t believe me?Ask almost every other woman out there why diamonds are so sought after. (Yes a diamond is a crystal) The most simplest approach to this is the information behind these crystals. What power do they hold? What is it these crystals seek? If you have heard or read about the crystals skulls, you should already know this. But otherwise, please do check it out!

Crystals have been used all across the centuries as a piece of Earth that is known to have healing powers. From illness to ailments and useful tools for the mind, these precious minerals are possible to be found almost everywhere and anywhere in the world. Honestly speaking, I myself never used to be a believer of such magical stones. I’m not sure if I still am but I can assure you that these stones are of great help in your daily ongoing life. Ancient cultures and modern traditions still hold on to their roots regarding these powerful ornaments, it is advisable to keep them in your pocket, wear them as jewellery, to use them as house decoration and more.

The purpose of seeking balance between mind, body & soul is to be content with the self and to seek awareness. If you have any other brilliant ideas to contribute please feel free to share them with us!

Medical Marijuana & Cannabis Oil

The Medicinal Properties Of Medical Marijuana

Mary Jane, Ganja, Herb, Hemp, Cannabis or more commonly known as Marijuana, has been known to be grown and used for literally thousands of years. Newly found evidence shows that consumption of Cannabis has been dated back to the 850 BC. It is a plant that is indigenous to Central and South Asia. Throughout history it has been made known to mankind as a recreational drug and all-in-one purpose plant. In India, babas or sadhus partake in the consumption of Cannabis as an entheogen – spiritually, shamanic and religiously. There are a wide range of religious conceptions involving the plant. In modern culture, pro-marijuana movements such as the Rastafari have been introducing and spreading awareness about the sacred plant.
In the more recent times, many scientific studies clearly show that Cannabis, or just simply Marijuana, has medicinal properties. Moreover, it has been introduced to modern day societies, tolerably making them legally available in countries such as the US, North Korea, Uruguay and has been decriminalised in several other countries spread across the globe.

There have been lots of skeptics and pro-marijuana activists arguing and forging the road to 100% legality. As more and more people are being introduced to the idea..people begin to wonder, if man made booze and god made cannabis, whom do we actually trust?

Here is a short interview by CNN with Tommy Chong, actor from movie series – ‘Cheech And Chong’.
You can find plenty of similar videos, articles, research studies and conventions concerning medicinal marijuana on the net and social media.

Here are a list of some:

Please allow yourself to watch this documentary by Rick Simpson about the use of Cannabis and its miracle working, life-saving and mind expanding plant.

If you have a loved one, know anybody who has or have had issues with cancer, glaucoma, arthritis or any other health issues that could be resolved with the use of this god gifted plant, here you will find here useful and enlightening knowledge containing vital information that might just improve or even save a life.

Watch as these cancer cells get killed by THC, the active ingredient in Marijuana.

Perhaps it’s time we continue to nullify and get rid of this purge of disinformation and propaganda that is the notion of ridiculously accepting the use of cannabis.

Take a step back, come forward with an open mind with the intention to learn and seek.
Let’s think about it from a different perspective and attempt to tip over the scales and hop across the border between blind skepticism and the real truth folks!

Making a difference: Activism

What differentiates ‘Activism’ from ‘Slacktivism’?

In modern society, social networking has made everything in our lives so much more convenient through the internet. This is also with regards to Social Activism. Now, don’t get me wrong..being passionate and enthusiastic about a cause is great. But does sitting there contributing to society behind the computer screens actually make a difference? Perhaps it does. It doesn’t take much to get out there and take part in a non-violent protest, gathering or an intervention in order to make an impact and creating a difference. Spreading that awareness is great nonetheless but we need to start doing more than just sitting there and making contributions to sites like www.avaaz.org and http://globalvoicesonline.org/ or even sharing posts on Facebook.

Digital Activism has been integrated into a large part of our youths that makes spreading awareness much more swift and precise. It encourages people to start making a change in their lives no matter how minuscule or insignificant it may seem. Even in Singapore, where they are so afraid of their own government due to the strict laws and regulations, people have taken a stand and are beginning to occupy places like Hong Lim Park to protest and project their views and opinions to the public and the not so tolerant government.

So you see, while the world as it is, desperately needs change..we as human beings have to make a stand, voice out our opinions and help out in whatever way possible. Whilst making the habit to get out there and attend a protest, I hope that you guys continue to spread awareness and keep the energy flowing.
Remember, Love is the key.
